Walk Around Survey: with you with verbal comments only - no report is provided.
Typically from £250
Specific Structural Inspection and Report: This can cover the stability of boundary walls, stability of roof structures and roof spread, wall tie issues, cracking in
bay windows, cracking over lintels and comments on springy and deflected floors.
Typically from £450
General Structural Inspection and Report : This is a general structural report on the building where there are several issues to observe and report up on; for
example where there are queries on roof spread and cracking in and around the building.
Typically from £600
We aim to visit the property within 2-3 working days of an instruction and our Chartered Structural Engineers will typically spend 1-3 hours on site appraising the
structural integrity of the entire property or specific problem areas. A report is then compiled and copies are usually emailed as PDF files typically within 7 working
days, subject to the complexity of the report and receipt of responses to questions that we sometimes raise.
If you have one, we’d like to read the Surveyor's/Valuation Report; preferably this should be emailed to us in full prior to our attendance
Structural Surveys
Structural Surveys, Inspections,
Investigations and Appraisals
of Residential and Commercial
Buildings
If you are selling or buying a building we can help you
with a variety of structural inspections, reports and
appraisals so that you can better manage and
understand what is probably your biggest asset; property!
Sometimes a Surveyor will recommend that a Structural
Report is required or that a Chartered Structural Engineer
is engaged to comment upon a particular area relating to
structural concerns they’ve raised.
Fees depend on our involvement. To carry out a
structural survey on a standard circa 1900's masonry
semi/terrace, typical fees may be as follows [we no
longer charge VAT!!]:
